Abstract

The investigation was carried out at the Rice Research Department Farm, FCRI, ARC Egypt, through the two growing seasons summer 2020 and 2021, to study the effect of applying the nitrogen, potassium splitting, and growth regulators on the hybrid seed yield of the parental lines to Egyptian Hybrid No. 1., the two parental lines (IR69625A and Giza 178 R) were used to cultivate in 20th April. A split plot design with three replications was applied. With different intervals to get good synchronization. The data were recorded on growth traits (plant height, days to heading and flag leaf area) as well as yield and yield components traits (number of panicles/plant, panicle length, seed set % and panicle weight). The obtained results exhibited that, the morphological and seed yield traits affected with splitting method for Nitrogen and Potassium fertilizer, as well as, the source of hormones, and from our results we can conclude that obtaining a high production of hybrid rice seeds, nitrogen fertilizer should be used in three batches and potassium fertilizer in two parts (basal and foliar) and GA3, sprayed, as the seed yield reached (3.09 tons/ha) and (3.015 tons/ha) during the two seasons.
