ABSTRACT The study aimed to identify the level of social capital of rural youth, to identify the level of their community affiliation, to identify the relationship between the social capital of rural youth and the level of their community affiliation in the research area, to identify the problems that affect their community affiliation and proposals to overcome them from their point of view.The study was conducted on a sample of 372 participants from two villages in Ashmoon Center, Menoufia Governorate. A personal interview questionnaire was used to collect data during the months of April and May 2023. After which, it was emptied and statistically analyzed.The most important results were as follows:More than half of the participants (54.9%) have an average level of social capital in general.The vast majority of the participants (86.9%) have a high level of community affiliation in general.There was a direct correlational relationship between the social capital of the participants and the level of their community affiliation in the research area.The most important problems of the participants that affect their community affiliation are: the lack of a sense of security and peace of mind within the village.The most important proposals of the participants to increase the level of their community affiliation are: providing suitable employment opportunities for young people in their field of specialization.Key words: Social Capital, Community Affiliation, Rural Youth.
